Display board must include:
1. Purpose: Why are you conducting this experiment?
2. Hypothesis: An educated guess on how you think your experiment will turn out.
3. !!!!!!!Optional!!!!!!! Background / Research: Identify key words and questions that will help you get to your conclusion.
4. Materials and Procedures: Step by step instructions on how you conducted your experiment as well as a list of the materials you are using.
5. Data / Charts / Graphs: Display your findings; must contain graph and/or chart. Photos are also good visuals of the experiment.
6. Results: What actually happened in the experiment. This should be in written form.
7. Conclusion: Your conclusion summarizes how your results support or contradict your original hypothesis. Did you get the results you were looking for? Why or why not? Discuss how you might change your experiment. How could the experiment be improved?
Rubric For Science Fair Project:
· Display board is set up correctly 15 points
· Followed scientific method 10 points
· Has a purpose 10 points
· Has a hypothesis 10 points
· Has materials and procedures displayed 10 points
· Has combination of data/charts/graphs/pictures 15 points
· Results are typed in paragraph form 10 points
· Conclusion is typed in paragraph form 10 points
· All items are done neatly 10 points
Total of 100 points
1 day late = 10 points off
2 days late = 20 points off
3 days late = no credit (0)
**** The Science Fair Project will count as 1 test grade and 2 homework / class work grades.
