Once upon a time…the good residents of the Enchanted Forest are going to court and you have been subpoenaed to serve as a member of the jury in this hilarious twist up of characters from our favorite bedtime and childhood tales.  The Fairy Godmother represents a select group of plaintiffs who have filed a class action law suit against the Big Bad Wolf and the only one willing to come to the rescue is the Evil Stepmother herself.   The drama of the courtroom takes a recess for some singing, dancing and lots of fun in THE BIG BAD MUSICAL. 

Performances are April 16 and 17 at the BTMS Cafeteria.  Tickets are $5.00 general admission and on sale at the door 30 minutes prior to the 7 pm show.

Chorus is preparing for their Music Performance Assessment Competition coming up on April 29 at Daytona State College.   The Treble Choir will be singing a contemporary song "Tiger Tiger" and a German song from the Baroque period called "Bist Du Bei Mir".  The Mixed Choir will be singing a Renaissance English Madrigal "Fire Fire" and a contemporary Latin Piece entitled "Agnus Dei".

They will combine with the dance department for an exciting Spring Concert on May 12 on our new cafeteria stage.  All are invited!  Admission will be $5.  You will see concert numbers but also there will be dances from "Cats", the 50's  and 60's era, a song from Grease, Mulan, Singing in the Rain, and the finale will be a dance to "One World" from the movie "Cheetah Sisters".

 With budgets for essential school programs continually being cut, landscape and maintenance are no longer a priority. VerdeGo recognizes the necessity for both students and teachers alike to take pride in their school’s exterior environment. In an effort to help enhance the landscape on school grounds, VerdeGo is proud to introduce the first annual “Verdego Victory Garden Contest”.

The purpose of this contest is to enhance the schools landscape aesthetics as well as educate students and teachers on Florida Friendly plantings, the basics of landscape design, and promote school spirit. This contest will encourage community involvement by requiring students, teachers, parents, friends and family to participate in the voting process on VerdeGo’s website.

Voting:

Voting will begin on February 8th, 2010. Each person can vote once per day until voting closes on March 19th 2010. The school with the most votes when voting closes will win a landscape makeover over for their chosen area in the amount of $4,000.00
